Planning your video conference

It's not much different from planning a regular face-to-face meeting. Your times and sites are booked through our central reservation system. Each meeting site has a videoconferencing unit, which includes a television monitor with a built-in camera, a VCR and a remote control to regulate sound, picture and tracking.

A document camera even allows you to project charts to full-screen size. Of course, our people are trained to help you during your videoconference---although operating the unit is actually simpler than running most VCR's.

Case histories - ConferView in action

Challenge: A leading company in the medical device industry wants to interview candidates with specific skill sets and industry experience. Manufacturing, product development, quality and human resources are all part of the interviewing process.
CV Solution: Interviews with three candidates were arranged from three separate locations at different times on the same morning. The team gathered at the CV site near their office. All interviews were videotaped.
Result: Within two-and-one-half hours, all three long-distance candidates were interviewed at surprisingly low cost. One member of the team who wasn't present viewed the videotape the same afternoon. The new hire was made the following week.

Challenge: A major financial institution headquartered in New York must communicate its TQM goals to its senior-level managers.
